Dear diary,
We went to Croatia two days ago. We were supposed to be back by yesterday but we missed our flight. The reason that we missed our flight is because we really wanted ice cream. We went to a store to get some and there was a really long line. After we finally got our ice cream my mom looked at her phone and said that we still had an hour. And then I remembered something. Me and my brothers had changed the time on her phone so that it was an hour behind! It was meant as an April fools joke but we forgot to change it back to the right time! I asked my dad to show me the time on his phone and I was right. My mom's phone was still and hour behind. I told my brothers and we went over to my mom and told her that her phone just might be an hour behind. We explained that it was just a joke but she got really mad. We ran as fast as we could to the bus stop but the bus wouldn't come for another twenty minutes. We didn't have enough time to wait so we flagged down a taxi and hoped in. The taxi driver took us to the airport. We went through security as fast as possible and went to our gate. But through the window we could see the plane driving away. If we had been there just a couple minutes earlier we might have made it.
So we were stuck in Croatia for one more day because that is when the next plane would come.
After we had missed out plane, we went to the beach. The beaches in Croatia are beautiful. The water is so clear that you can see the sand at the bottom. If you go far out enough there are lots of fishes. The only thing is that the sand isn't very soft. It is really rocky.
The next day my brothers and me explored the gardens around the hotel that we were staying in. There wasn't anything interesting. There were a couple of those little cars that you can sit in and then someone has to push you. There was a little hill and so me and my brothers rode off of the hill on the little cars. It was making a lot of noise though because there were little rocks everywhere. After a while it got really boring and the cars were so small it was hard to stay in them.
That night we had dinner and went straight to the airport. Luckily we didn't miss the airplane that time.
