Time is fast running out on us and so today was a last chance to catch up on some shopping and tick another couple of things off the list.
This morning Janet and I headed back into the city to do some last minute shopping. Once again took on Oxford St and Regent St. Starting to feel comfortable around here and bags a little fuller. RB spent the morning resting up.
Headed home by lunchtime where we caught up with Jo and the four of us set off for the Imperial War Museum. This museum is outstanding and a regular feature on our visits to London. Didn’t disappoint. We spent a busy afternoon here.
One of the interesting exhibits was the Lord Ashcroft gallery. He was the person who paid the money to get the VC’s back when they were stolen from the Army Museum in Waiouru. The collection is a huge number of VC’s and other bravery medals. A special one was the bravery medal given to Stu Guthrie, the policeman who was killed in the Aramoana shootings.
From there we headed down to a street food market in Tooting and

From there we headed down to a street food market in Tooting and
met up with Mike. Dinner was at a Sri Lankan restaurant which was great. Lots of laughs and reflections on the last month. Back home for an ice cream desert and then some late packing.
