Our last day in London. Earlier in our visit Janet and Helen had gone shopping and RB had taken a day off touring while I did a walk focusing on Brunel and the bridges and tunnels over and under the Thames. The others were keen to do this walk so we repeated it this morning.
First up on the train to Embankment and then onto the river ferries to look at the bridges and get a good background to the history. Interesting day as the timetables had all changed and the guide was working out the new times. After we got off the ferry we walked down the shoreline to end up opposite Greenwich. From there onto the Docklands rail and then through the original tunnel under the Thames finishing at the original entrance way into the tunnel where there is a small museum.
Pretty amazing what they could do in those days. We then got ourselves to Covent Garden for lunch. Again, a regular visit for us when in London enjoying the opera buskers while having lunch. Our final English lunch (fish and chips, Pea Pie and Pud etc).
After a final poke about the city we went back to Balham where we finished packing. Mike and Jo

arrived and we said our final farewells as the Emirates people picked us up for our flight. Very easy transfer and check in for our flight and we were on our way home.
