Searching for Mike and Joanne - Again

The decision was made to split into two teams today to focus on our key interests.

Janet and Tracy joined forces and headed for Westfield at Sheperds Bush. This is a huge complex including both designer and more normal shops. By all accounts this was a very successful visit.

RB, Jo and myself were off to the Churchill War Rooms museum. These are where Churchill was based during the Blitz and is brilliantly set up showing how the rooms operated as well as a separate component which tells the story of his life. Love him or hate him, he certainly had a big life. We spent just on 4 hours there and would highly recommend.

Our visit to the Wars Rooms was followed by lunch in Trafalgar Square at a pub which specialises in pies. All washed down with a cleansing pint.

Just when you need the underground to be on its game we managed to run into some severe disruptions as we tried to get home to say goodbye to Tracy who was heading home. In the end we just made it to the station where we said goodbye. It was great to see her and we need to make sure it’s not another 10 years till we do it again. The same disruptions meant that she only made her train at Kings Cross with 2 minutes to spare!

We were then treated to Jo's legendary cauliflower curry. Best way to finish off another full but satisfying day.
