After my walk, I returned to my hostel where I met a new roommate. Her name was Ashley and she was from the USA.
We chatted for a bit while she sorted out her bags and then invited me to join her and her friend Amanda for sundowners in a park not too far away.
I was not expecting the view we found. The whole of Sydney was mapped out in front of us as we sat and drank our glasses of wine. Both of the girls were lovely and even invited me to join them for pizza.
We ended up in a little Italian place and had a pumpkin pizza. It was surprisingly good! Plus it had pumpkin on it so that means it's practically a salad! We planned to go to the wine & cheese after party once we got back to the hostel but we'd missed it and found most people had gone to bed early anyway, so despite my party animal spirit, I too was tucked up in bed by 11pm.
