The morning was clear so I went to sit by the water while everyone started to wake up. I took some photos on my phone before seeing I had a WhatsApp from my friend Becky.

"I took this picture this morning and was going to message with "mum, my foster mum cleaned my hutch top and bottom the day before yesterday so look how much I've sh*t on purpose" I'm really sorry Jubes but I just went outside and found snuffs has passed away. He looks very peaceful, and had a lovely few last weeks xxx"

My heart broke as I read that my little bunny had died in the night. I sat there crying on the sun lounger wishing I could give someone a cuddle. Realising the time, I knew I had to return to the camp to get ready for our canoe trip. One girl asked what was wrong and gave me a nice warm hug when I told her.
