Our Adventures in France
An easy one and a half hour flight from Nice to Orly Airport a ride on the bus and we are now 450 metres from the Eiffel Tower, right in the middle of the 7th arrondisement. Olivier's place, where you can sit on the lounge and watch the lights of the Eiffel Tower twinkle at night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with the Grande Dame. The street is busy, but the double glazed windows keep out the noise. We are on the second floor, 38 steps to our apartment but the view is worth it.
After check in we had a late lunch at "Le petit Suffren" which was to become our favourite french restaurant because of our awesome waiter friend. Then number 1 on my list of "To Dos" was of course the Eiffel Tower.
Our short walk turned out to be a long stroll to the Eiffel Tower over the Seine to the Trocadero and along the River to Pont de Bir Hakeim. We found the Allee des Cygnes and walked to the end of the island to the Statue of Liberty.
