Our Adventures in France

An early morning visit to "Faux" for croissants for breakfast and a Baguette for Sunday lunch (No chance of any shops being open after Midday here) I put my French skills to the test here in this tiny village.

The morning was bitterly cold and rainy, the clouds were still so low we were driving through them. Ian took some great photos as the mist rolled in over Etang de Faux. (Faux Pond, it was too small to be a lake)

Driving seemed to be the best thing to fill our time today so we headed off to Lac de Vassiviere, one of France's largest artificial lakes. You could see that in the summer months it would be alive with so much activity; fishing, sailing, swimming, cycling, but with the icy winds there was only a couple of keen fisherman out on the water. Ian took photos and I mostly stayed in the car.

Home for a delicious lunch of Baguette, jambon, fromage et vin rouge, which has almost become a staple on the trip. Now picture me with a huge satisfied smile on my face. Bliss!

After lunch we explored the property, met the goats, were attacked by the geese and became reunited with our kitten friends.
