Our Adventures in France

When we landed in Paris the temperature was 31 degrees, a hot day by Paris standards. It wasn't humid and we found it quite pleasant except for the fact we were still wearing the same clothes nearly 30 hours after we left home. Yes, I am sure we were ripe for the picking.

We landed just after 7.30 am and at 12 noon we could check into our motel room and have a shower. The time could not come fast enough. We had already been accosted by the "petition gypsies" and a dude harassing us to buy Ian's sunglasses for 2 Euro Seriously, just the smell of our bodies should have kept everyone away including the scammers.

Showered and smelling like a fresh spring breeze we skipped out of our motel room and onto the Free bus to take us to the Aeroville shopping Centre. It was a trendy smallish shopping centre but we filled in our time nicely and we bought some supplies.

We jumped back on an Aeroville bus to go back to the Ibis hotel, but the bus driver had other plans. Turned out this bus does a tour of all the major accommodation places in the area and headed back to the shopping centre. Forty five minutes and a minor bus accident later we were back on the correct bus and heading back to our home for the night.
