Our Adventures in France

A showery and cool day for our last long walk in Paris. I was really looking forward to visiting the Chocolate Museum. It took us nearly and hour and a half to walk there but I am so glad we did. I wasn't sure if Ian was going to be into it, but it was all you could eat chocolate (white, milk and dark chocolate) chocolate making demo and a free hot chocolate before you leave. Free chocolate while wandering around for well over an hour was a winner.

We were on our way to visit the Opera Garnier and were stopped by a public protest in the street outside the opera. There was 20 riot squad vans, police diverting traffic and pedestrians and media everywhere. It seems the pensioners were protesting about the proposed taxing of pensions.

Around the corner from the protesters we visited the Perfume museum. We had a lovely guided tour of the Fragonard Perfume Museum, in English and smellings (not tastings, haha) I didn't buy anything at the end. I really wanted to, but I didn't really like any of the fragrances.

We watched the light show celebrations at the Eiffel Tower, from our comfy lounge. How does it get any better than that?
