Two drivers, a navigator and a DJ and we are off. Driving on curvy roads at a comfortable speed through the Swedish fall was a scene to see. The experience was liberating. It was made sure that the song Dancing monkey by Tones and I was played every hour. The song connected so many memories I had made here in Sweden. Making nice food, talking about life, and enjoying the Swedish landscaped in a memory to cherish. Taking off-road paths and daring ourselves into rather sketchy looking roads we found the most beautiful places. Even the way back home after the weekend was an adventure in itself. Due to the low temperatures in the evening we had an intensive low fog on the road. We missed quite a few turns because we could not see more than a couple of meters ahead. During a small break we ventured off the road a bit. The fog cleared and we would see a beautiful night sky. Completely crystal clear and undisturbed from any city lights.
If you would like to be independent and reach places you probably could not with public transport renting a car is a good option. At the Circle K gas stations, this is possible. They have cars of different sizes and prices. For a full tank, 48 hours and almost 500 kilometres we paid around 40 euros per person. A pretty go deal what it enabled us to do.
