Guyana & Suriname

Today was a good day. We spent the day mostly at home but it was super nice! In the morning we booked a tour and we made reservations for when we go to Surinam.
We also did something typically caribbean. Joshua climbed a tree with the neighbor and took some coconuts out. We had fresh coconut water that was super delicious. It was so tasty and fresh! The rest of the day I think I drunk like 4 coconuts haha! Another uncle of Joshua, Sewh, came by, he is a really funny man. He talks real guyanese so I have a hard time understanding him, but he is a wise man, and very kindhearted! In the afternoon Mona made me a signature guyanese dish called Vermicelli, it is a dish where they bake the vermicelli and then cook it in condensed milk, they add all kinds of herbs and some cinnamon and it is really sweet and it taste a little bit like apple pie. Very nice!
In the evening we all went out. They have a hotel here were a live band is playing and everybody goes there to have a good time and eat and drink something. We had a few cocktails and some of the best tempura prawns and plantain you can imagine! After that we went to this club called Palm Court. Since the tourism is not so big here everywhere I come people stare at me. So in the club it was nothing different, all the people stare at me. It became worse after the DJ started the macarena and I was the only one knowing the dance haha! Imagine me in a room full of people dancing the macarena while all these local people watch :P it was really funny. We had such a good time and an amazing night, had very nice cocktails and danced a lot!
