You definitely have to get used to sleeping in warm weather again. It was hot last night but then I turned on the A/C and it was too cold again, after a little struggle I finally fell asleep around 3 AM. We woke up pretty early this morning around 8:30 AM. What I love so much about countries like this is that the start is so nice and easy. I went ito the cold shower again so I woke up pretty good right away haha! After that we had breakfast. Mona made me some roti and chicken :P Breakfast here involves roti all the time apparently! After we went to see a close friend of Joshua, me and Mona took a tour around town. They live a little bit out of city center so we took a drive down. First we went to the beach it was so nice to feel the sand between my toes and to stand in the water, unfortunately the water is really polluted so it is not really attractive to go for a swim. The country is really beautiful and green, you see a lot of palm trees and green areas. Mona and Vick live right behind the sea wall so you get a nice breeze here. You definitely have to get used to sleeping in warm weather again. It was hot last night but then I turned on the A/C and it was too cold again, after a little struggle I finally fell asleep around 3 AM. We woke up pretty early this morning around 8:30 AM. In town we went tot the pegasus hotel and had some
plantain fries and some tempura shrimp. I Also tried some local beer, which was good and a little sweet. On Friday and Saturday evenings they have a live band playing here and people come to dance and hang out and have fun with friends. After that we went to see the largest wooden cathedral of the caribbean, it was so pretty. We also went to a local market to buy fruits and veggies and some food, as soon as they saw me they raised the prices says mona, that's because they have "white" and "black" prices. The food and fruits we got were super good, so fresh and the snapper we ate tasted amazing! Guyana is filled with very nice people and it is a beautiful country. It's just a little undiscovered. You can tell they don'y have a lot of tourism here, they are not anticipated on tourists and they like to stare at me. Later in the afternoon I took a little nap in the hammock which was really nice and highly needed!
The rest of the evening we just chilled in the hammock, had some nice drinks and good conversations!
