Well, in the spirit of being positive... all good things must continue, and while we are now back home we can reflect. We

- travelled around rural and regional France, about 8,000 km
- dipped into Belgium, Switzerland and Spain
- reconnected with friends not seen since 1984
- had great times with long time Sydney friends now living in France
- renewed a friendship in the Loire from 2008
- met some lovely people (mainly French) along the way and had great conversations (in French)
- have more understanding of Australia’s contribution to WW1
- experienced so many sights and sounds
- took thousands of photos
- drank some lovely wine and champagne
- enjoyed the welcome of the Fontainebleau HHH
- found “my” town
- walked and walked and walked
- laughed a lot
- enjoyed each other’s company

Importantly, we have made some friendships to last a lifetime and have ‘a million’ memories.
