What, Another Road Trip?!

North Bay, Ontario has had a quiet winter so far. This is my opinion only of course but, the sun has shone most days, the sky blue and clear, the air crisp and clean. January 1 to now has flown by, one day tumbling into the next. Time is not to be wasted. We have spent some precious moments with those we hold close and are thankful for every opportunity. These past few months have allowed us to embrace and help others who have needed us as best we could, there have been some highs and some lows, a lot of quiet and calm. I know I am not alone in saying I lost a week somehow because of a Virus, but I have absolutely no right to complain. It however did rob me of time I could have spent with people I love. I look forward to catching up on my return.

Return....after a little journey. I have finally embraced a road trip. I did say this means of getting from one location to another would not occur again in my travel plans if I had the choice but alas, I am in and looking forward to it. Tony has been patiently waiting for me to "sign on" and hit the road again on a mini adventure. He has been planning for awhile and I think he is fulfilling some childhood wishes, to give you a hint, remember The Alamo? Tomorrow we leave, covering some familiar roads before venturing in new directions.

I write this waiting for snow tires to be removed, a sure sign that spring is around the corner at least where we are going. Temperatures will rise as we head south then we will come full circle, returning to reality. I believe we will miss March roaring out of here like a lion, but on our return my snows better not need to be put back on. My man at the car dealer was surprised and chuckled as I arrived at my appointment, we watched large snow flakes falling outside. He said, "it's your fault"! We laughed.

My old travel blog provider shut down last year. I was disappointed and in my search for a new one I am hopeful "Travel Diaries" will keep things simple and uncomplicated for this journey. Thanks to Holly for the suggestion. I will be patient, finding myself at a bit of a loss for words right now, I hope I do not come across lost, not a good way to start! As I mentioned there have been many quiet, reflective

Thanks to Holly for the suggestion. I will be patient, finding myself at a bit of a loss for words right now, I hope I do not come across lost, not a good way to start! As I mentioned there have been many quiet, reflective

days when I have been lost in thought.

We have said our "see you soon, I will keep in touch and love you's" we have had great family dinners, shared our itinerary and notes of little things that need to be done while we are away. The fridge is not left empty this time as our home is in good hands with our nephew Peter, our welcome roommate who is embracing his new career in North Bay.

Our first stop is Guelph to visit Tony's Dad tomorrow. We look forward to seeing him, and will celebrate his 95th birthday.

I will be keeping in touch, stay healthy everyone and I truly hope the next few weeks are very good to you all.
