Big trip to the Rockies and back - 2017
Today was a "Harley Day". With not a lot to see along the way, the plan was to stop in at 4 or 5 of the Harley Dealerships that were on route.
We did manage to make it to 4 of them: McDaniel's in South Bend, IN; HD Shop of Michigan City, IN; HD of Valparaiso, IN and finally Starved Rock HD in Ottawa, IL. We did drive by Weibler's Quad Cities HD in Davenport, IA, but it was closed by the time we got there.

Elkhart, IN to Davenport, IA
Today was a "Harley Day". With not a lot to see along the way, the plan was to stop in at 4 or 5 of the Harley Dealerships that were on route.
We did manage to make it to 4 of them: McDaniel's in South Bend, IN; HD Shop of Michigan City, IN; HD of Valparaiso, IN and finally Starved Rock HD in Ottawa, IL. We did drive by Weibler's Quad Cities HD in Davenport, IA, but it was closed by the time we got there.
We wound stopping in Crown Point, IL for lunch at the Tavern on Main (right in the town square) and got our first ice cream fix at the DQ in Geneseo, IL.
There wasn't a lot of really outstanding roads today, although the ride along IL71 through Starved Rock State Park was quite nice.
Dinner was at the Machine Shed Restaurant right across the street from our hotel for teh night - the Days Inn Davenport.
One last thought ... along the way, we saw 2 FULLY running Ford Pinto's too!
