Big trip to the Rockies and back - 2017

Today we headed south into Wyoming and close to the border of Colorado.

It was another cool start to the day, but all you do is layer up and stay comfortable. The temperatures never really did get very warm, and for the first time on the trip, we had a day without sunshine.

We also said goodbye to Yellowstone National Park today, but not before making a visit to see Old Faithful. We couldn't have had better timing - we just got off the bikes and started to walk towards the

Day 12 - July 25

West Yellowstone, MT to Rawlins, WY

Today we headed south into Wyoming and close to the border of Colorado.

It was another cool start to the day, but all you do is layer up and stay comfortable. The temperatures never really did get very warm, and for the first time on the trip, we had a day without sunshine.

We also said goodbye to Yellowstone National Park today, but not before making a visit to see Old Faithful. We couldn't have had better timing - we just got off the bikes and started to walk towards the

geyser when off she went! Good thing too, since it's about 90 minutes between eruptions.

From there we entered Grand Teton National Park and saw some of the natural beauty there.

Lunch was at a diner called the Cowboy Cafe in the neat little town of Dubois, WY.

After that, we took Hwy 287 south to Rawlins. Along the way, we put on our rain gear and weathered the first real consistent - although not real heavy - rain on this trip so far.

The Days Inn in Rawlins was our home for the night, with dinner at Diamond Lil's right in the hotel
