Banff to Jasper Alberta Canada

DAY 12 1st SEPT
Today, we woke up at 6 AM and left at 7. Today we leave Banff to go to Jasper and Mum wanted to leave EXTRA early. Half asleep we headed off but something quite nice happened today, my Mum bought a tour guide app which tells you things about the places you drive past, it was very enjoyable. Our first stop was at Herbert Lake which was remarkably still, enough to see very clear reflections of the mountains. After seeing multiple glaciers we then left and went to a stop where there was a horrible climb to view a lake and mountains. Along the trip we

saw squirrels, fungus, finches and a larger bird. After that we went to an area where a river had eroded deep down into the ground causing a rather cool looking place. Later we went to a place where they sold things like souvenirs and other tourist things. Then we left and had lunch inside the car at a nice looking place where you are sometimes able to see mountain goats. We ate inside the car because it was raining. During said time the tablet went flat so we didn't have the tour guide app anymore. We then drove past a few more places where there were glaciers or mountains. At a certain point we got out of the car and looked at a waterfall like area and there was even snow where Michelle and I threatened at a snowball fight. Nearing Jasper we were stopped by a build up of traffic to realise that people were going to see a herd of deer nearby the road, after a few pictures we headed off. After we arrived in Jasper we went shopping for groceries, went to our apartment/house and had prawns, steak and mash with salad for dinner.
