DAY 21 10th SEPT

I was really excited today as TOMORROW we are going on a cruise for 11 nights! Otherwise in the land of today the morning went a bit slow with a bowl of Nesquick cereal. In the afternoon we took Marilyn to the airport as she was flying off somewhere. After that and a short wander around town in the car, we arrived at the Space Needle. The Space Needle is the

most iconic landmark in Seattle. This sky scraper is 560 feet high which is about 170 metres! Everyone of our group except my mum went up the sky scraper. There was an amazing view from the top and even some shops took an advantage of people being there (McDonald's mainly with a big M) and even some quirky giant spiders and flowers. For the trip back down we decided against the healthy option of 848 odd steps so we took the lift. At 48 seconds it was MUCH faster. After touch down we went to an art show filled with glass sculptures. These were AMAZING. I have never seen anything like them before. Words do not describe, but this diary has pictures so I do not need to try to explain how spectacular they were and their rough shapes. We went to this art show instead of the aquarium today, I was looking very forward to going to the aquarium but an hour wouldn't have been sufficient. We soon headed off back to the hotel whilst seeing all the sculptures including a giant paddle board and a big grizzly. After a look around the market that we tried to go to last night, where we saw a monk-fish in one of the fish stalls.
