Fletchers Holiday Diary

Day 17 7/9/15

Today, we hit the road early after a hearty breakfast at "The Great Barrier Reef". We had fewer pit stops along the way today. We did see some specky scenery and kept a wasted watchful eye out for wildlife only to see a deer stick its head out for a bit. The road was particularly windy around here and there was even crash areas that would catch you if your brakes stopped functioning, these work with gravel as you cannot get traction to move with enough gravel, hence stopping you.

Nearby on our way into the town of Whistler we noticed a sign saying "Were here! The new supermarket will be here in a few months!", at first we got the wrong impression with "Were here!". We drove into town looking for somewhere to get something for dinner and found a suitable place for all reasons except one, free parking places were currently rare. The reason for this is because behind the area there was a carnival celebrating a public holiday, Labor day. We got our supplies and left to go to our accommodation. Getting here wasn't too easily as we ended up going the wrong way at first ending up about 1.3 km away. We had a relaxing day after that with some of it in the spa.
