DAY 9 29th AUG
Today, is our first day in Banff, starting off the day with a hearty breakfast of thick bacon and different eggs, (the egg shells were paper white and the yolk was very pale). After a while we headed out to Johnston’s Canyon. Johnston’s Canyon is a Canyon that was dug into the ground via the river that flows through. We walked a third of the distance of the whole track which was about half a mile.
When we got to a point where we then waited in line to go and have a closer look at a waterfall, this place was very nice and we all took lots of

pictures. Once we found our way back out from the Canyon and almost walking into a tree, we made our way to Lake Louise which was utterly stunning and there were many different people from many different cultures all in the one town. The view was utterly amazing and the water was a bright colour. The mountains formed a valley and there were glaciers viable in the distance. Due to the lack of tables we had our lunch at a bench. We even had to dodge the selfie sticks even when we were sitting down. When the rain started setting in we headed off from the crowd. We then tried our luck at Lake Moraine but the rain and the crowd caused us to decide against it.

DAY 10 30th AUG
Had a bit of trouble getting to sleep last night, the light went

around the blinds and that wasn’t very helpful. We (being my sister and I) had fruit-loops for breakfast which wasn’t very nice. We headed off from the house a while after 10 this morning and we drove around doing the same thing as the other day, it was still very interesting. The glaciers are getting a little bit old but still good. We had a truly AUSSIE dinner of chops tonight.

DAY 11 31st AUG
We left the house today at 10:30 am this morning and Mum was upset at this as we needed to have left tomorrow by 10am & we seemed to keep sleeping in. I was informed it was going to be cold so I brought a jumper without sleeves thinking I would be fine as I don't feel the cold at home. I was dreadfully wrong. It was very cold. We started by going to a viewing point which was a feat of engineering where a track circles through the mountain to get to a higher point but a chipmunk was more interesting to the people who were there. We then headed off to an area where there was a spectacular waterfall where the water falls, juts off from a ridge flinging it off into the distance before falling again, noisy is an understatement. Half saturated due to both rain and the waterfall we left and had lunch at a nice picnic area. At one point Mum and Dad left to take pictures. Later we went to a place called Emerald Lake however I personally do not know why it is called this as it doesn’t resemble emeralds in the slightest. We then packed our bags so that they are ready as we leave earlytomorrow.
