Took a beautiful coastal ride to Sapri from Maratea. No need to go to Almafi, just as breathtaking with mountain views of Mediterranean. Maybe not as dramatic as Almafi because it is not as built up, not as many shops or restaurants. Jim and I would recommend over Almafi any day. Went for a boat tour of the North coast of Maratea with Giovanni. There were twelve people on board and we were the only Americans. It was spectacular! Took 3 1/2 hours, swam in little coves and swam through blue grottos and caves! So fun! And of course on the way home Giovanni let Jim drive the boat for at least 30 Min. Came home and had pasta with sausage, grilled eggplant, bread and wine. PERFECTO!
