Day 1: Today we're visiting Meteor Crater. We woke up and got ready to make it right on time, it opens at 8AM to 5PM. The distance traveled from Salton City to Arizona was 441 miles (6 and a half hrs). Our car contains 40mpg, which only takes $32.94. We're staying at the Hotel Aspen Inn Suites Flagstaff, it's $37 a night. All 3 of us took an hour tour which was $18 per person, in total was ($54 in total for all of us). The Meteor Crater was formed 50,000 years ago, when an asteroid hit the Earth's atmosphere. In 1904, Daniel Barringer and his partner, Benjamin Tilghman, were the first ones to arrive at this historical site. They use this place to train astronauts for the first moon landing. We also visited NAU (Northern Arizona University) which was 45 miles away from the Meteor Crater (about 40 minutes). We learned about how the university accepts good average high school GPA's.
