Today we're leaving Washington, it's been a lot of fun but we have another adventure. We're going to Philadelphia ! Sydney thought this would be a nice place to visit because she wants to learn more about America's famous seamstress, and also the room in which our framers designed the first laws and documents of America. We all got a bite to eat something light for the road. Michelle decided to drive the whole way there so sydney and I ( Camila ) can get some rest. After a 2 hour nap we're almost to our destination. While we stopped at Sunoco Gas Station and pumped $15. I decided to take the time and start looking for cheap motels and we must be super lucky. Apple Hostels of Philadelphia was only $19. The only downfall is that we'll be sleeping in a room with strangers. On the bright side hopefully they're nice and warm hearted. After being in the road for 3 hours we checked into our hoste. We unpacked our bags and showered to go explore the Betsy Ross House, which is $5 for entrance. Instead of taking the car we decided to go walking, it's not that far only 6 minutes on foot. The outside of the house is very beautiful, it's remarkable. The tour guide was very nice and really made us understand everything. we learned that she was number eight of seventeen children and was raised by her mother and father. She began sewing as a child being taught by her great aunt Sarah Griscom. She later apprenticed for an upholsterer named William Webster. During this apprenticeship she met her future husband John Ross. In order to support herself, it is said that she began sewing and repairing uniforms and other items for the Continental Army.
