Today we our off to Oklahoma, which is a 7 hour drive (446 miles) from San Antonio. It's currently 5 am so we're getting ready to start another adventure together. We ate some breakfast down in the lobby before we left and bought a couple snacks from the vending machine which was about $6. It´s Camilas turn to drive while Sydney and I take a nap. Don't worry, we will be switching off every 2 hours so we will all get a chance to rest. We stopped at the nearest gas station because we were running out of gas. So far we've spent $26.67 on only gas. That really is not a lot compared to our last trip. 446 miles since we've left the hotel we are finally in Oklahoma ! Finally we can get out of the car and stretch out legs and get a bite to eat. We stopped at Jack in the Box and ordered 5 orders of the 2 tacos, so that was a total of $ 5. We looked for a motel and checked into Knights Inn Oklahoma City Southwest which is $50 for two nights. Lights out for the night.
Day 2, we went down to the lobby to get some breakfast and ask for direction to the Oklahoma City Memorial. It's only 15 minutes away from out motel. It took us about 10 minutes to get ready, and we were off to this memorial. We were very astonished when we got there, it's so beautiful. People are so respectful and very kind hearted. We learned that on April 19, 1995, 168 people lost their lives and others were extremely injured. The blast was set off by anti-government militant Timothy McVeigh, who was executed for his crimes. It was a domestic terrorist attack. Ryder rental truck exploded with terrifying force in front of the nine-story Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. What was left in our account is $3,581.96.
