Today we are heading to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. This will take us only 35 minutes (21.5 miles). We did not have to worry about stopping to get food because from the last hotel we took the free snacks and water. We only spent $4.29 on gas because we did not need that much for where we are going anyways.
Here we are we went and booked a hotel thats 3 mintues away from Kitty Hawk. The hotel is called Baymont Inn & Suites Kitty Hawk Outer Banks, for one night its $59. After dropping our stuff at the hotel we took a power nap and got ready to go on our adventure to Kitty Hawk.
We went to see the Wright Brothers national memorial, what a nice view, it was bright outside. The memorial honors the first successful, sustained, powered flights in a heavier-than-air machine. The artist was Rodgers and Poor. The second place that we ventured off too was the camping ground of the Wright Brothers. When the Wright brothers first came to the Outer Banks in the autumn of 1900, they stayed with local resident William Tate and his family. They used the Kill Devil Hills area toward the end of their first season, following earlier experiments on Lookout Hill just south of the village of Kitty Hawk. ( $ 2,595.87 remaining balance )
