Bye bye St. Louis, and hello Montgomery Alabama. It took us 8 hours to get to Montgomery from St Louis. We stopped for gas at RaceWay in Montgomery Alabama. It was $2.30 per gallon, we filled the tank up and it was $35.28 in total. After we pumped gas we went to our hotel "Alabama Hotel- Montgomery Alabama Hotel", the cost per night was $49. We just stayed that one night. The next morning we woke up early to be there right on time and had breakfast at the hotel (It was free). We wanted to move onto our next location as soon as possible. It was an hour away from our hotel, we took our car. The entrance fee was $2 for adults which was $6 for all 3 of us, kids were free. What we learned on this trip was how Rosa Parks denied on giving her seat to a white man. Secondly how Martin Luther King was also present, which he was a civil rights leader. Rosa was arrested for "bus boycott". Lastly she also fought for civil rights. What was left from our money was $2,907.75.
