Australian Adventures

I don’t think I’ve ever met a bigger Shania Twain fan! Woody knows all the words to the songs of Shania, Dido, Alanis Morrisette, Cheryl Crow and all the 90s ladies. It’s quite entertaining to see! The drive was fun; lots of laughs until we stepped out of the truck and got blasted by heat and flies. I had an instant headache and sweats. Definitely not built for the heat!

We stopped at some cliffs to take pictures (Eagle Gorge and Mushroom Rock). Tonight we’re camping at a caravan park in Kalbarri. We went swimming, attempted to nap and then went to a local pub for a free brew courtesy of Woody’s friend, Ree, who was bartending.

It’s 6:30pm now. We just finished a great dinner: steak, sausages, fried mushrooms and a Greek salad. It was 38 degrees with 80% humidity today and the flies are horrendous! We were going to stay a second night but have decided to instead leave early tomorrow morning and head straight to Exmouth. We’ll stay there for ten days before heading onto Sal Salis.

Time for some frothies and another swim!
