Napflio to Athens was always going to be a bit of a challenge regarding where to stay. We wanted to see Epidaurus and Mycenae before putting ourselves within striking distance of Athens to return the motorhome on Tuesday.

After much deliberation we headed east from Napflio to a site on Tolo beach. This would allow us to do Epidaurus and return to the site and then call at Mycenae as a stop off as we headed towards Athens. Now just to add to the mechanical problems earlier in the day the Sat Nav decided to have a wobble. We arrived in roughly the right area and were confronted with wall to wall apartments, hotels, campsites along the sea front. This was the closest we'd ever seen to the English 'kiss me quick' experience in Greece. We were all set to abandon our plans and move on when a look at the map revealed our selected site was on another beach around the headland. We headed there and although busy and a beach lined with sunbeds it was nothing like the experience around the bay.

The site was spotlessly clean and situated right on the beach. We had hit on a Greek holiday hotspot and while we had no complaints it wasn't really us!
