Travelling along the northern coast of the Peloponnese. We're now experiencing spectacular Greek views from crystal clear seas to distant mountains. There is very little traffic and it's very Greek with little sign of tourism. Pulled up for lunch and a frappe and watched a Greek guy fishing from the beach. In typical Greek style he gave the impression that he couldn't be arsed if he caught anything or not!
There are no major towns along the route although a couple of large villages were a bit challenging to navigate, clipped a couple of wing mirrors but other than that all good. Stopped at Lidl's for a few provisions, what a view from the car park and the check out!
I was happy as Larry yesterday when I found some decent wine glasses in the supermarket, can't be doing with drinking wine from the tumblers provided in the motorhome. Managed one night of drinking before I smashed one trying to store it safely for travelling. Of course not been able to find another so forced to buy the round goblet type thing. Guess who's drinking from the good one??
Arrived at Akrata Beach Camping, parked up and headed straight for the beach which is about 40 yards away. Nice fresh fish in the on site taverna and a couple of glasses of red from a crappy glass before bed.
A few pics - the view from Lidl's car park, coast road and the tighter village roads! Akrata Beach, campsite just in the trees on the left.
