We met up with Rhys for the day, he is very good at following Maps! We set off with a bit of a plan stopping first at the Roman ruins of the London Wall. We came across St Bartholomew's Church and went in for a look. Looked vaguely familiar, and it turned out a number of movies were filmed there including Four Weddings and a Funeral. We some ended up in a procession of some sort, a band followed by marching high aged kids dressed in religious garb. Maybe a graduation?

Circled St Paul's which we will visit later in the week as Rhys had already been. Over Blackfriars Bridge and down the riverside past Shakespeare’s Globe. We came across Southwark Cathedral. Over London Bridge to find something to eat. The GF thing is a bit challenging as usual but finally grabbed something which we bolted down so we could get to the Sky Garden at the appointed time of 3.15pm.

Sky Garden has a number of restaurants and bars and public viewing platforms of London. It is free to enter but you have to book limited tickets in advance – usually three weeks out. They get snapped up pretty quickly but I watched closely to ensure we got them. Airport type security and a lift up 35 floors. You walk out into a massive atrium with spectacular views. Rhys’s mate jack had joined us and we had a drink to celebrate Rhys’s birthday in a couple of days. And yes it was windy hence the bad hair day.
