From Coober Pedy we started our trek home. We spent the last week at Spear Creek (near Port Augusta), then a few days at Broken Hill (ie: BHP mining) and then finally to Swan Hill.
Spear Creek was a great bush camping spot, with open fires and horses roaming around, though by this stage it was starting to get colder.
Next was onto Broken Hill and Silverton. At Broken Hill we ate at the Palace Hotel (which now does "Broken Heel" functions due to being part of Priscilla - Queen of the Desert). All the walls are painted with murals, it is a great place to visit and the food was fantastic.
Silverton, which is just up the road, was made famous by many films, one of those being Mad Max 2. James and I visited the museum and then we all ate lunch at the pub. When we went into the pub, Diane asked if we could sit at the bar with children (not sure if there were any restrictions to due alcohol laws), the reply was "yeh, of course, as long as they behave!).
Finally, onto Swan Hill, then home.
