Melbourne to Wilpena Pound

Our trip started after leaving Melbourne at 5pm after James and Genevieve finshed school. We stopped for a quick bite at Maccas and then headed towards Nhill, about 4 hours drive.

At Nhill we stayed at the Nhill Caravan park who asked for $20 to be dropped off in the reception mail box, great country hospitatility!

From Nhill we headed off to Quorn which is the gateway to the Flinders Rangers. On the way we enjoyed hot pies and sausage rolls from the in-car oven, yum!

At Quorn, we were lucky to strike the local pasta night raising money for the community, we ate like kings for $40 and chatted with a few of the locals.

From Quorn we headed off to Wilpena Pound for the next few days.
