My diary

After a quick introduction to Zurich, we spent a week in beautiful swiss Canton of Thurgau. A number of Sami's relatives live in this area, so the days were a blur of new faces and we seemed to be invited to everyone's house for dinner. It's safe to say we were very well looked after and fed!

As well as eating plenty of good food and wine, we also got out and saw a number of things in the area too:

Sami's auntie, Hedy, took us for a lovely walk through the forest above her home and down into a nearby village. Luckily, and much to Sami's delight, we were able to see some wild Chamois on the walk.

We briefly crossed the border into Germany for a stoll and shop in Konstanz.

Had lunch at Kartause Ittingen, a former monastery.

We borrowed bikes and explored several villages in the area. Followed by a peaceful afternoon at Stein am Rhein.
