Phew - we survived the crazy driving in Italy and have now crossed the border into relaxed Slovenia!

Our first impression of Slovenian's was great. At our campsite the night before we could hear music from our tent so went to investigate. Finding what looked like a private party we were hesitant to join but were welcomed in and offered us free drinks and food. Turned out they were all Slovenian and it was a goodbye party for their friend.

Seaside in Piran & Portoroz

Phew - we survived the crazy driving in Italy and have now crossed the border into relaxed Slovenia!

Our first impression of Slovenian's was great. At our campsite the night before we could hear music from our tent so went to investigate. Finding what looked like a private party we were hesitant to join but were welcomed in and offered us free drinks and food. Turned out they were all Slovenian and it was a goodbye party for their friend.

The following day we set off for the Slovenian coast. We parked just outside Piran and strolled into town. Feeling slighty worse for wear from the night before we decided to treat ourselves to a seaside lunch in the old town of Piran.

With more still to see we rented bikes the next day and returned to Piran. We got great views of the city from the top of the town walls.
