Road Trip Through Europe

We hit the road to Bruges. Traffic jam! Finally make it, park at the bus station and take a bus into the main town square. We're hungry and frankly just craving fast food. We spot a Quick, a Belgian fast food chain. We enjoy a greasy, delicious meal while looking out from the second floor of the restaurant onto a gorgeous old town square surrounded by centuries old buildings. We hop on a boat for a tour around the canals. Swans come to curiously greet us while we putt under bridges and around bends lined with gorgeous buildings and lush greenery. Next stop, the Bruges Beer Museum. It was very informative and included 2 free beers in the adjacent bar. With sunset quickly approaching we stroll the streets, where we finally purchase a batch of true artisan Belgian chocolate. We tried to make it to the top of the Belfort tower for sunset but it had just closed. We arrive back in Brussels then hunt for a new parking spot for over 30 minutes. Tired, cold and hungry we decide to get pizza from the shady little corner shop closest to our hotel. It's fantastic. We eat, shower, pack our bags, time for bed.
