We were briefed that the trek would be short and would end today in the forenoon. We were returning through a different route and were assured that it was a complete downhill descend and that a vehicle would pick us up from the end of the trek.
The trek which was supposed to be 3 hours was far from easy and it took even at my heightened pace more than 3 hours to complete. Luckily as we had more distance to cover we had started the day very early at 7 AM. We reached New Bridge then took a detour to reach Siwai our rendezvous point with our vehicle. In a span of 30 minutes our entire group reached the spot where we had to bid farewell to our guides and porters. After paying a handsome tip for each and every person who patiently and skillfully took care of us for the past nine days, we left the trek path and the great mountains in two land cruisers to Pokhara.
We reached the Pokhara restaurant near the airport for our lunch after a 3 hour travel by the vehicle. After lunch we proceeded to the airport to find that our flight was delayed. Most of our

gang went to the terrace to kill the time. Me and Raji were out of gas that we rested in the waiting area. We reached Kathmandu by 6.00 PM.
I visited the shambala spa for a massage, a well deserved and well needed one for my aching body. It lifted my spirits and gave me the energy to enjoy the dinner thereafter at the Tibet restaurant with my gang.
