There was sporadic snow blizzards and we were advised not to walk during such time as the winds were heavy and carried small ice fragments which could tear into our skin. We had to huddle together whenever there was a blizzard. After 30 minutes or so the weather improved and we could move freely. My childhood dream of sliding
on Ice became a reality. To my heart's content I enjoyed the descend on ice.
We reached MBC in an hour's time (Descend was fun more so when you can slide and reach faster). The one thing we were dreading while climbing, the icy slopes and chill weather was slowly eroding as we were descending. Our first pit stop for lunch was at Himalaya. The tea house was packed with trekkers and hence had to take an extended lunch break.
We proceeded to descend further after lunch and reached Bamboo for our Night halt. We reached around 5.00 PM. There was a sense of achievement in my heart which prompted me to celebrate with a Nepali Ice Beer, the first during my trek expedition. One beer was enough to drowse me to sleep. Even though my heart was elated my body did not enjoy the same feeling, it needed its rest.
