Bust. Afraid our last day here was one. Decided to go to the museum of minerals. But first I had to top off our SIM cards for Shirley and my iPhone. Not so easy with a semi functioning internet and and over zealous Bank of America. After almost one hour on the phone the mess is finally squared away.
We take the tube for 8stops then make a transfer. Decide it would probably be a good time to have some lunch. Find this neat little place and order some grub. I have a chicken gizzard salad, Shirley has some kind of quiche and Carroll has beef tartare. All were very good see pics.
Walk a ways and get to the museum. There is a sign on the door that says closed, but Carroll says it reopens at 1:30. We sit on the steps with a bunch of high school kids for 45 minutes. Finally at 1:30 we getup, dust ourselves off, and read the sign by the door, closed on Tuesday.
So we decided to throw in the towel and head back to the flat in some intermittent rain. Get back and collapse.
We are having some company tonight. Carroll has a friend Jennifer from Corvallis who is going to walk the trail to Santiago de Compestella and she is spending one night on the couch..poor soul and Shirley's friend, who she met on one of her previous trips is also stopping by..Rebecca.
