Breakfast at the usual spot with the usual stuff. I think we will make a change to this part of our routine tomorrow . We drop the empty wine bottles in one of the big domed recycling bins for glass right outside the door and head for the tube. About four stops later and we arrive.
Wow! Lots of people and lots of booths with everything from fresh fish complete with your choice of flies or yellowjackets, fresh meat, fruits, all kinds of veggies, bread, flowers, clothes, jewelry and whatever else you need. It's pretty amazing. We stopped and had
some fresh oysters that they shuck right there and you stand at a small round table, squeeze some lemon juice on them and then slurp them down. Yummy!!!
Then we moved through the rest of the market. Carroll stopped and purchased three outfits for new little granddaughter. We also managed to buy some bread, cheeses, smoked salmon, olives, and a few other necessities.
Since we had trudged through the throngs and been smitten with various odors, I must admit some better than others. We decided it was about time for lunch. So, we went to a place that Shirley and
Carroll knew from a previous trip. Here, I must say, I succumbed to the ultimate French food..fish and chips. Not too great but not bad and it felt good to sit for a while.
Not a whole lot of walking today..2.7 miles, 7060 steps and 3 floors.
Tomorrow we are going to a museum housed in an old iron forge building to see and exhibit with light. I saw it on the internet and it was suppose to be great and had wonderful reviews. Will see
