Bushed is the common thread running through the camp this morning. Carroll and I are awake and semi-functioning. Shirley is still sleeping. We had planned to go to Chartes today but don't know if that will happen as we are all tired and sore.
So after lounging around till 11:30 we decided to get some grub. We walk down the street just a bit and stop in at a restaurant we passed many times before on our way to and from the subway. Bushed is the common thread running through the camp this morning. Carroll and I are awake and semi-functioning. Shirley is still sleeping. We had planned to go to Chartes today but don't know if that will happen as we are all tired and sore.
So after lounging around till 11:30 we decided to get some grub. We walk down the street just a bit and stop in at a restaurant we passed many times before on our way to and from the subway. have a beef lasagna, Shirley has ravioli with a black truffle cream sauce, and Carroll scallop of veal with gorgonzola. It was one of the two best meals so far. In fact, so good we made a reservation for dinner tonight at 7:00pm.
The rest of the day is spent in my favorite non paying pastime...laundry. The machine is front loader with an opening about the size of a basketball and the interior the size of two basketballs. The cycle takes about 2 1/2 hours and then your clothes come out damp dry. It works but, like most things over here, you just can not be in a hurry.
I also got our assigned seats on Croatia air For Wednesday and paid our fee for checked baggage. Each of us has one piece of luggage to check and the total bill came to $105 US..that's $35 a bag. A little high!! But, at least according to their website the plane looks almost
empty. It's a 21/2 hour from Paris DeGaulle to the airport in Dubrovnik.
Today was .81 of a mile and only 2,289 steps, my knee and feet are thankful.
