Another AWESOME day!

After the amazing breakfast we took off for a 6 hr., North Island Tour.

First Stop: Kayaking the Cua Can River, launching from Huong Viet Restaurant. We were out 1.5 hr. Kayaking the river. Nice hot day, burnt in the sun, but not crispy burnt. :)

Second Stop: Bee Farm. Highlight of my day. So informative and touched my bee loving heart.

DAY 22 - PHU QUOC

Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam

Another AWESOME day!

After the amazing breakfast we took off for a 6 hr., North Island Tour.

First Stop: Kayaking the Cua Can River, launching from Huong Viet Restaurant. We were out 1.5 hr. Kayaking the river. Nice hot day, burnt in the sun, but not crispy burnt. :)

Second Stop: Bee Farm. Highlight of my day. So informative and touched my bee loving heart.

Third Stop: Bai Ganh Dau Beach. Filled with fishing boats and the area smelled a little fishy, but so beautiful! Waters are so colourful, beach is lovely and we can see Cambodia, which is only 4km away.

Forth Stop: Golf Course. Gary got his fix, but they would not let him near the course to simply look at it.

Fifth Stop: Bai Vung Bau Beach. Not as beautiful a beach and waters as where the fishing boats are, but not smelly and we stopped for lunch. Had grilled squid with salt and chilies, it was simple but very good.

Sixth Stop: Pepper Farm: the Island is best known for its yummy peppercorn and fish sauce. The peppercorns we are able to bring home, the fish sauce NO, no airline will permit it. The Airlines must have had a bad experience to have banned the fish sauce from travel. One can only imagine.

The Odd, but cleaver: the old Phu Quoc airport is very near town and is closed. But rather than shutting down the runway, it is being used as a roadway shortcut. Thus, today we drove down a runway. :)

Last stop: Happy Hour and pool dip.

Dinner tonight was exceptional. We walked across the street of the Resort to a roadside restaurant tonight. The grilled seafood platter was the special tonight, so we gave it a go. It was such a surprise yummy meal! :)
