Ngembak Geni (the day after Nyepi)
The official New Years Day! Happy 1938 everyone!

This day the Balinese visit families, neighbours and relatives to exchange forgiveness. The youth of Bali practice the ceremony of Omed-omedan or 'The Kissing Ritual' to celebrate the new year. Kisses anyone?

Gary & I went on the Bali Herbal Walk, which was fabulous. Loved Mary, our tour guide. She introduced us to local healing plants & herbs to help: pain, diareha, constipation, high or low bloodpressure,

antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, immune strength, vitamin & mineral absorbing, antiseptic, colouring, cleaning of parasites & worms, diabetes, cancer fighting, nourishing, spicy, sour, cooking, etc., all growing wild. Loved our 3 hour walk & lesson!
