Physical Geography.-
The city of Rome is located on the banks of the Tiber River in the center of the Italian peninsula. A place in the central area of ??the Mare Nostrum (so called by the Romans to the Mediterranean Sea) with a mountainous relief to the north (Alps) and a central mountain range that runs from north to south (Apennines). Its geographical position facilitated its communication, and the mildness of the climate and the fertility of its lands always offered excellent resources for its development.
