York

Last day here. Well we can say we have well and truly done York. We have walked the wall (3 km) of York, been to the Railway museum which even I enjoyed, that's saying a lot about how good it was and we are pretty wet. Not torrential but drizzly and not cold. Bit more shopping and yummy chocolate to boot

I am standing where the Queen would alight from the train. There was even a bath in the train, and a lounge suite, plus luggage, and a urinal on the station platform. Then the little train we took back to the centre city.

Our shopping paper bags got so wet they broke open, went and bought a plastic one and was walking back when we just stopped a street cleaner picking up one of our wrapped chocolate blocks. Phew nearly lost it and no one had walked over them - amazing.
