Cruise Xmas Markets Prague to Budapest and around U.K.

Omg what a haul to get here. Totally all over the flights even tho the last one was only half an hour from Vienna to Prage. It was then being picked up by our Lady with our name on and chaffeured to our accommodation at 7.30ish this Wed morning. Only to be told of course that we couldn't book in but could leave our bags. So off we went and didn't get back till 5pm.
Well every Tom, Dick and Harriet was trying to book in. And every booking took 20 minutes with a knat of a guy and girl. Personality - what's that. Then, then they ask for a city tax. Guess who was the only one that asked what it was for - yup me. Oh you get that charged in every country says King Knat. But I am a polite kiwi and asked how much cos some currencies where 60 whatever plus. Anyway it was only €1.10 so I didn't take it further.
Are now all squeaky clean (at long last).
After a lovely cheap beak of eggs and ham we can say we have walked around the Old City good and proper. Lovely cobble paving on the streets and the Charles Bridge and a lot of areas remind us of parts of Rome and Venice.
Photo taken of Rossi on Charles Bridge and Lizzie and I over it in Vienna airport
More photos on camera sorry
Transfer to Hilton Hotel was an experience in itself. A Skoda stationwagon worth 100,million Czk with a glass topped roof. Very flash. As was the Hilton. Very upmarket after the other accommodation. Even the taxi driver laughed about it. Went and walked around on our own to get our bearings and then met up with the ships cruise manager.
Next day we went on an organised Tour up to the Castle by bus, then walked all the way down, passing a Chocolate shop that sold chocolate drinks. OMG was it ever chocolate. Very rich. The snippets of food we keep trying are soooo amazing, but end up being a bit too rich for this kid. Needless to say Rossi handles them all very well.
The afternoon was spent going to a concentration camp named Terezin. Very moving and emotional. That is a whole story in itself to long to write, so we bought a booklet.
The evening was fun. We were once again on an organised Tour for a true Czech evening of food, continuous drink poured from a bottle with a long spout held by the waiters finger until he reached your glass, then with a flourish poured your drink from about 50cm away. Yes I have the right distance. Amazing. Yummy food and our table was the loudest. Aussies, Alabama ites and Chicargo ites. We are all getting on famously. Head for each others company all the time.
