Travelling through to catch our ship (yes not boat) took us 4 hours by bus. They did provide commentary most of the way provided by Lida, our guide. So informative. Did have a pitstop and refreshment stop half way. MacD's would you believe. Am I ever hanging out for a decent coffee though. Even MacD's wasn't like ours.
Now on board with only about 150 passengers. What a great crew. Have us on and back at them. We are the naughty bunch with a good reputation for fun. Couple of grumpy ones of course on board but you always get them.
Water can just be heard in our cabin, no doesn't make us want to pee more. Quite pleasant.

Got taken on a walking tour around a castle and bused to other sites. One being where Hitler had zepalin airships and propaganda formation of troops. Then off to the Christmas market and buy buy buy. Another bag required. Oh dear. Only 3 stops in.
Then bused to our ship where our luggage was waiting.
We have of course now been through several locks and passed over the Continental Divide. Which means that when we started going through the locks we were down low and had to go up in the lock, and now we go in at the top of the lock and slowly we are lowered. In the locks we are so close to the side you can touch it even though you aren't supposed to.
And of course we have tasted the mulled wine and gingerbread which is absolutely everywhere. The first was a Chocolate egg no. Well that nearly blew my brains out it was so potent, however the true mulled wine (especially the blueberry flavour) is much more paletable. Rossi has the kiddies one so he doesn't miss out and he has no alcohol beer
on board. I have a cocktail of the day as you do.
A couple of those pictures show the before and after the war. One is looking down from the Castle and how it was blown away and now rebuilt, the other is a parade ground during Hitler regimen and where he used to hold propaganda marches.
