The Death Of Alexander The Great

From the day that Alexander the great was born he was always prophesied to grow up a man of wonders. Everyone believed he would change the world one day and leave a great legacy. Alexander the great was an intelligent strategic man who knew his enemies weaknesses just by analyzing them. Alexander the Great died at the age of 32 in Babylon in 323 B.C. from an unknown cause. The theory behind his death is that he faced congenital scoliotic syndrome which eventually led him to his death. Alexander was a military genius who traveled all around the medditeranean states and other regions like Africa and Egypt. Alexander gained victory in many battles and changed the world for the macedonian people during his reign. He started out as a lieutenant who served the king who also happened to be his father. And after his fathers death Alexander carried out his legacy throughout macedonia. Alexander the great accomplished many things during his time and many people both feared and admired him. Fear came from intimidation because he was so good at carrying out a certain plan he set out which never failed. Alexander motivated his soldiers and his people to regain lost confidence and regain pride for being a part of Macedonia and his kingdom. The death was not easy for his people to cope with. After Alexander died his hard worked kingdom soon began to crumble. There were no heirs after Alexander and civil wars broke out throughout the nations to gain

territory in Macedonia. Alexander the Great's last words before dying was “Bury my body, do not build any monument, keep my hands outside so that the world knows the person who won the world had nothing in his hands when dying“. He remained a strong prideful man who was proud of his accomplishments throughout his time on earth.
