As Alexander the great gained regal power, he was on the way to peloponnesus. Alexander was preparing himself to assemble all the Greeks who were within peloponnesus to ask them for the supreme command expedition against the persians. He marched into lands of the triballians and Illyrians. As Alexander was on his journey he invaded the thracians that went against the policy set and continued to set order in any means possible Alexander the great marched to his destination he came across the Nessus river and other dangerous situations that he had to face like mount Haemus, Mount Haemus would be difficult to cross due to all the equipment Alexander and his soldiers had with them and to make matters worse his enemies were waiting for his arrival. In order for Alexander to continue his journey Alexander the great had to come up with a plan to take the least dangerous route to cross the mountain, Alexander still considered all the risks he could possibly run into because the future is an unpredictable thing but he chose to go through with his plan anyway. He ordered his soldiers to stay alert and spread out when their waggons came down to the flat surface in order to prevent injury, he ordered some of the soldiers to hold their shields up to help the waggons roll over them so that they could get to the flat surface with ease. gained more courage and confidence and fought against the thracians, some soldiers were killed and some were captured but they continued to move forward and fight for what they believed in. Alexander continued to go on his journey and continued to lead his soldiers on with his great strategy methods. He gave his soldiers courage and continued to fight with them to eventually become victorious.
