Start the day with a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the bus staion before hopping on a bus at around 08:20am. The journey takes 2.5 hours and you will arrive in Budapest at around 11am.

Get a metro from the bus station to the Adagio MiniHotel Downtown to drop off your bags. Then head out to start exploring the city.
On your way to the river, walk past the Hungarian State Opera House, St Stephen's Basilica, and Gresham Palace.
Walk along the river bank until you reach the famous 'Shoes on the Danube Bank' sculptures. Keep walking to get a good look at the Hungarian Parliament Building.

Cross the river via the Széchenyi Chain Bridge and head up Castle Hill to the Fisherman's Bastion. Also on the hill is St Stephen's Statue and Matthias Church.

Head down the hill and back up another, Gellert Hill. From here you can get incredible views of the river and the city. Head back down and cross the river via Elisabeth Bridge. Walk along the river bank, past the Little Princess Statue and up to Vorosmart Square. You can find something to eat before heading back to the hotel.
